The core responsibilities will be to setup or operate CNC or manual lathes or mills. The ideal candidate will have two years technical school (Associates Degree Machine Shop Technology), and 5 – 10 years “documented” machining experience on multiple machines, lathes, mills, etc.
Efficiently set up and operate machines
Possess the ability to read and interpret blueprints.
Have skills in basic shop math and trigonometry.
CNC machinists must be able to read, understand, and perform minor editing to CNC programs.
CNC equipment used: Mazaks, Haas, Okuma and Mori Seiki – Being able program in Mazatrol or Fanuc would be helpful.
Manual machinists must have the ability to set up and run manual machines: Bridgeports mills, grinders (ID, OD, surface and centerless), manual lathes.
Must be able to set up and work within blueprint required tolerances.
Have a basic knowledge of quality control and know how to interpret and use basic inspection techniques.
